Norman Dodds is a resident of Spring Lake Michigan and the managing partner of the architectural practice of NORMAN C. DODDS ARCHITECT AIA NCARB, PLC with offices located in both Pentwater and Spring Lake, Michigan.

Norman Dodds began his career with the architectural practice of Tom Sturr Architect in the summer of 1986 after graduation from Hart High School; attended college at the University of Detroit School of Architecture graduating with honors with a five year Bachelors of Architecture degree in 1991; completed all requirements for the Intern Development Program by 1993; is a licensed Architect in the State of Michigan and a member of both the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Board since 1993.

Since acquiring full ownership of the practice on January 01, 1997, Dodds has grown the practice to serve all aspects and phases of the architectural practice from design to design development to construction documents to bidding to construction implementation, with many completed works in sectors such as: public school and university projects; churches of varied denominations, various County owned projects, a wide range of commercial-industrial-institutional projects.

With the abundance of lake frontage along the western shores of Michigan's lower peninsula as well as many inland lake shores, the custom designed residential practice has become the cornerstone of the practice. The diversity of both the client and the topography of the lake shore has allowed for great exploration into a variety of residential architectural styles.
